Neuroscience by its very nature is an interdisciplinary, collaborative area encompassing many different disciplines including cell biology, physiology, biochemistry and pathology, as well as clinical neuroscience. Students may elect to receive a doctoral degree in neuroscience or a specialization in neuroscience. To receive a specialization in neuroscience, a student must be admitted to a degree-granting program at Health Sciences or Norman campus. Students who complete the neuroscience specialization requirements will receive a designation of "Specialization of Neuroscience" upon completion of the PhD degree.
